DALLAS, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Tuesday Morning Corporation (Nasdaq: TUES), the Dallas-based deep discount retail chain reported sales for its third quarter sales event, which ended September 21, 1997, of $61.9 million, a 27% increase compared with $48.5 million in the corresponding period of the prior year. Sales through the end of the 1997 third quarter event increased 28% to $176.8 million compared with $138.5 million in 1996. Comparable store sales increased 18% for the quarter and rose 19% for the year-to-date period.
