MANILA, April 7 (PNA) -- Fishermen's groups have banded together to put up their own shiprepair facility in General Santos City with an investments of P121 million to service repairs of their own fishing vessels.
Signal Marine Shipyard Corp. has been approved by the Board of Investments granting it tax and fiscal incentives.
The project is scheduled to start commercial operation in May this year employing 44 people at the SAFI Shipyard compound in barangay Tabler in General Santos City.
The BOI said that the ship repair facility was a result of its domestic investment roadshow conducted in July last year in Saranggani.
