Govt plans to end tariff-war among 200 non-major ports
New Delhi, Apr 16 (PTI) In a bid to end tariff-war among smaller ports, the Government is planning to bring all 200 non-major ports within the ambit of the Tariff Authority for Major Ports (TAMP).
"(The) Ministry of Shipping is in talks with maritime states for bringing 200 odd non-major ports under the purview of the Tariff Authority for Major Ports (TAMP)," Shipping Ministry Joint Secretary Rakesh Srivastava told PTI.
The TAMP at present regulates the tariff of all 12 Centre-owned major ports, while maritime states and private players fix tariff for their ports separately, resulting in ...
