Abu Dhabi, April 15, 2009 (WAM) -- A major UAE English daily today commented on the significance of yesterday's visit to Dubai by President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, hailing the visit and describing it as a concrete step aimed at strengthening further the UAE federation.

Commenting editorially on the issue today, the Dubai-based "Gulf News" said: "In order to deal with the exceptional global circumstances, it is important that a transparent, direct and constructive approach is adopted. Hence the UAE's current experience is an opportunity to strengthen the federation further so that a platform for the future is established.
