Art matters. I have believed this for as long as I can remember. Theater, film, paintings, writing--all forms of creative expression are an important part of our lives. It is often through art that we reach understanding about ourselves and about one another.
My life has always involved art. Sometimes less than at other times and then I always felt its absence. After graduating from drama school in Sydney, Australia, I worked in children's film, television, and theatre. I married an actor, and we went on tour as part of a theatre for education program.
