NEW YORK, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard & Poor's today assigned its triple-'B'-minus foreign currency rating to Gruma, S.A. de C.V.'s US$150 million senior unsecured notes due 2007. The company was also assigned a triple-'B' local currency corporate credit rating.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect Gruma's geographically diversified operations, important market share positions, proprietary technology, growth potential, and Archer Daniels Midland Co.'s (double-'A'-minus corporate credit rating) economic interest in Gruma through its 22% equity position.
