RENE COSTELLOE'S memories of life in Coventry's Tile Hill in the 1940s won her first prize in a competition.
Originally from Scarborough, Rene moved to the city during the war to work at the Standard Motor Company in Tile Hill Lane where she helped to build Bristol Bombers and Mosquitos.
