1 FLIP FLASH!
Shuffle and distribute a set of 26 alphabet cards evenly between two children. Ask them to stack their cards facedown. On a signal, have both children flip over their top card and name the letter. The child with the letter that occurs nearest the end of the alphabet wins that round. (You might display an alphabet chart nearby for reference.) Have children set aside their winning pairs. The game continues until all the cards have been used. The child with the most cards wins the game.
