RESTON, Va., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Software AG Americas today announced EntireX, a middleware solution that extends Microsoft's Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) to enable programmers to seamlessly integrate legacy, desktop and Web applications. EntireX allows developers to build applications and deploy them on a variety of different platforms, "object wrap" legacy applications so that they can be used as components, and extend mainframe security to distributed and Web-based applications.

With EntireX, DCOM can be used on mainframes and Unix systems to support software components, dramatically decreasing the cost of creating, assembling, integrating ...
