CLEVELAND, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- John Harvard's Brew House, a Boston-based restaurant and microbrewery, located at 1087 Old River Road in the Flats, announced it has won two medals at the 16th annual Great American Beer Festival, in Denver, October 1-3.
A Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal was awarded for the Manchester Alt in the German-Style Brown Ale/Dusseldorf category. Beers in this category are copper to brown in color, and have a medium body and malty flavor. The overall impression of the ale is clean, crisp and flavorful.
"The Manchester Alt is malty, hoppy and as close to Dusseldorf as you'll get," said brewer Rob Leonard.
