VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Co-president and chief operating officer Jack Holt predicts a tough year for Hi-School Pharmacy Services.
"But with our focus on service as a community pharmacy, we'll be able to weather the storm and come out stronger than before," he promises. "We still plan on being around and continue to look for opportunities to grow our business."
The saving grace for Hi-School during the recession is its reliance on pharmacy. While the front end has been soft, Holt anticipates modest growth from prescriptions. "Pharmacy, with its nondiscretionary spending, should be a relatively stable source of revenue," he says.
