The votes have all been tallied and it is now time to learn where the hearts - and stomachs - of our readers lie.

In our eighth annual Best of the Region voting, newcomers rose to the top, as some of the perennial favorites continued to hold a special place in readers' hearts.

With a high number of voters returning ballots, the interest in who is the "best" was running high. So with no further ado, the winners are...
