ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international design,
consulting, engineering and management services company, announced that it has won a major contract to provide project management services to the Brazilian mining company Vale (Companhia Vale do Rio Doce) for a large project in Sohar, Oman. The contract will be executed through a joint venture (on a 50/50 basis) with a local partner, W.J. Towell & Co. The contract totals approximately US$ 24 million. Further financial details regarding the contract were not disclosed.
