Oct. 14--The closer a decision on a cultural center for Mizner Park gets, the more proposals and counter-proposals the controversial project attracts.
The latest in the string of plans, scheduled to be presented to the Community Redevelopment Agency this evening, involves a $40 million multi-purpose performing arts center located outside the downtown area.
The plan would counter CHAMP, or Concert Hall At Mizner Park Inc., which has submitted a proposal to the city. CHAMP wants the city to lease it the 5.7 acres at the north end of Mizner Park. A concert hall, museum building, outdoor amphitheater and parking garage would replace the current ...
