Durban widows and divorcees have been warned about a "charming" con man who has duped middle-aged women out of thousands of rands worth of jewellery and cash.
Police have warned single women to be aware of a man in his early 50s, who uses different identities, such as Suren and Jeeva Naidoo, and who is "charming and well spoken".
The con man meets some of his victims through social networking sites, such as Facebook and MXit.
