WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cooker Restaurant Corporation (NYSE: CGR) today announced results for the third quarter. Sales for the quarter of $34.2 million were l7% better than last year. New unit growth accounted for virtually all of the sales increase as same store sales were down 1.6%. Sales for the first nine months of $99.9 million were 22% above last year.
Third quarter store income of $5.4 million was 7% better than last year. However, this gain was more than offset by higher management trainee salary and relocation expense, new store pre-opening expense amortization and interest expense. As a result, earnings after tax of ...
