WALES has been set the goal of becoming a "zero waste" nation by 2050 under ambitious proposals unveiled today.
The Assembly Government's new waste strategy states that at least 70% of all municipal and household waste will be recycled by 2025.
The drive is part of efforts to reduce the impact each person in Wales has on the world's environment.
Friends of the Earth campaigner Haf Elgar said the 2025 target was "totally achievable".
