Egyptian Transport & Commercial Services Company (Egytrans), the country's largest private sector transport firm, is raising fresh capital from the public to help it take advantage of new opportunities for transport investment. These new projects include two build-operate-transfer (BOT) ports at the north and south ends of the Suez Canal (MEED 23:5:97; 18:4:97).
The Egytrans public offering is to open on 15 September. It will involve increasing capital to [pounds]E 15 million ($4.4 million) from [pounds]E 9 million ($2.7 million).
