Bharti Airtel Q4 net up 21 per cent at Rs 2,239 cr

New Delhi, Apr 29 (PTI) Riding on an expanded subscriber base, including customers from rural areas, Bharti Airtel today reported 21 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 2,239.30 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2009, against Rs 1,852.90 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's total revenue, as per US accounting rules, rose by 25.65 per cent to Rs 9,824.50 crore in the March quarter, from Rs 7,819.10 crore in the same period in FY'08.
