SWEDEN'S THE VICIOUS burned bright but burned out quickly, leaving most people who heard them disappointed (keep your eyes out for Alienated if you can find it). Last year the first of the post-Vicious projects, Masshysteri, put out a 7-inch--and a full-length LP has now followed it up. Similar to the 7-inch, it reminds me a little of early X (the LA band, not the Aussie band): frenetic, urgent, the way punk ought to be (and the traded off male and female vocals must have something to do with it as well).
Unlike the Vicious stuff, this band is keeping it all in Swedish so you might not get the lyrics, but it's the international language of punk rock, maaaaaaaan! ...
