Introduction
The occurrence of atypical coloration has been found in several fish species. Among Salmonidae, individuals showing body coloration different from the wild -type coloration are observed in Salvelinus species (Hazzard 1943), Coregonus species and Thymallus species (Dobosz 2007), and Oncorhynchus species (Yamamoto et al. 1999; Blanc et al. 2006).
