China's iron ore stockpiles fall to 68.83 mln tons by April 30
Shanghai. April 30. INTERFAX-CHINA - Iron ore stockpiles at China's 22 major ports stood at 68.83 million tons on April 30, down 0.45 percent from April 24, while Indian iron ore stockpiles increased by 0.17 percent to 17.47 million tons, according to figures released by Shanghai-based Mysteel.
Chinese traders have began to stock Indian iron ore as the monsoon season will start in late May, which may force some ports to close for several months and hamper domestic Indian iron ore supply, Mysteel said.
