ONE of Bahrain's biggest charity fundraisers takes place today at Al Bander Hotel and Resort, Sitra.
The annual Raft Race is taking place for the 33rd consecutive year and looks set to hit its fundraising target of BD30,000.
Final preparations were being made yesterday by organisers at the Rotary Club of Salmaniya.
"Everything is going so far so good," he said.
"We have now almost reached our target, both teams-wise and money-wise and we are just looking forward to getting started now," said club president Mohammed Alkhaja.
