COPPER output at OZ Minerals hit 28,567 tonnes in the March quarter as its flagship Prominent Hill mine delivered first production.
In its quarterly report for the three months ending March 31, the Melbourne-based miner said it recorded first commercial production of saleable copper concentrate from its key operation, which is set to become its only mine following the sale of its other assets to the Chinese.
Once it finalises its $US1.2 billion ($1.7 billion) asset sale to China Minmetals, Prominent Hill will be the only operation at OZ Minerals.
