Minnkota Power Cooperative plans to start building a 345-kilovolt transmission line from Center, N.D., to Grand Forks in late 2010. The $280 million construction project called the CGF Project, for Center to Grand Forks is expected to boost the region s wind energy transmission capacity and meet Minnkota s projected growth, said Michael Hennes, Minnkota s CGF project manager.
