Vice-Admiral is new Western Naval Commander
Mumbai, May 1 (PTI) Vice Admiral Sanjeev Bhasin, who has commanded three warships in his 36-year-long career with the Navy till now, today took over as the new Western Naval Commander here.
Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Vice-Admiral J S Bedi, the outgoing commander, handed over the charge to Vice Admiral Bhasin during a ceremonial parade held at the recently commissioned Navy helicopter base INS Shikra near here.
Vice-Admiral Bhasin, an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, was commissioned into the executive branch of the Navy in January 1972 and specialised in Navigation and Aircraft Direction. ...
