Ouch! A bee just stung me. I shouldn't have swatted it away from me when I was swimming in the pool. My finger hurts, but sadly, now the bee is dead. A bee can only sting once. Then its life is over.
Even though none of us like being stung, bees are important to all of us. Without these little bugs, plants wouldn't get pollinated, and there wouldn't be as many fruits and vegetables. Farmers depend on bees. They hire beekeepers to bring in bees to pollinate the crops. (Pollinate means to transfer pollen from one flower to another.)
