CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Nucor's (NYSE: NUE) consolidated sales for the first nine months of 1997 were $3,147,000,000, compared with $2,725,000,000 in the first nine months of 1996. Nucor's consolidated net earnings for the current year's first nine months were $218,000,000 ($2.48 per share), compared with $165,700,000 ($1.89 per share) in the first nine months of 1996.
In the third quarter of 1997, Nucor's consolidated sales were $1,102,000,000, compared with $937,400,000 in last year's third quarter. Nucor's consolidated net earnings for this year's third quarter were $80,000,000 ($.91 per share), compared with $57,900,000 ($.66 per share) ...
