Srinagar, May. 3 -- About a dozen separatist leaders, including chairmen of both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference (HC) chief of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Mohammad Yaseen Malik, remained under house arrest in Kashmir.
It was to prevent them from addressing anti-poll rallies, official sources said.
The separatist organisations have appealed to people to boycott parliamentary polls.
A spokesman of the breakaway HC said chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani remained under house arrest for the past four weeks.
