Srinagar, May. 3 -- Alleging that the ruling National Conference (NC) has nothing to offer to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said the former had abandoned the state's political and economic interests for remaining in power.

Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Beg said the NC was now pleading for a dialogue with separatists to resolve the Kashmir problem. The slogan is just to mislead the people for political gains in the parliament elections, he alleged.
