MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BW HealthWire)--Oct. 23, 1997--Metra Biosystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MTRA) today announced financial results for the first fiscal quarter ended September 30, 1997.
Metra reported total revenues of $1,567,000, including product revenues of $1,521,000, and a net loss of $2,987,000 ($0.24 per share) for the first quarter of fiscal 1998. These results compare to total revenues of $1,243,000, including product sales of $1,167,000 and a net loss of $4,789,000 ($0.38 per share) for the first quarter of fiscal 1997. At September 30, 1997, Metra had $36,147,000 in cash and investments.
