99 Cents Only Stores (NYSE:NDN) reported record net income for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1997, of $4.8 million on record net sales of $59 million, compared with net income of $3.6 million on net sales of $45.4 million in 1996.

This represents a 33.7 percent increase in net income. Net income as a percentage of net sales increased to 8.1 percent from 7.8 percent in 1996.
