I use my computer a lot. I have a portable so I can take with me to work, when I travel, and to any room in the house. I even take my computer on some, but not all, vacations.
When did all this begin? In my last year of high school (1965-66) I spent every Friday night in the computer lab at M.I.T. Our school system worked out a deal for students to run their programs Friday nights 10:00 PM to midnight. But I know I wasn't addicted then.
In college I continued to use computers and had some work study jobs using computers. My first job, as a high school math teacher, involved teaching some of the basics of programming. Computers were an interest, but not ...
