By now, everyone on Wall Street is well aware of the large investment banking talent pool looking for work due to the financial crisis. Greenhill & Co. has been among the most prolific rescuers of bankers who have either been laid off from troubled bulge-bracket competitors or are anxious to leave.

Greenhill's recruitment efforts were operating at full speed in 2008, and have not decelerated so far this year.
