Enterprise Rent-A-Car has introduced a cycle-to-work scheme and discounted retail vouchers for its 2,000 full-time staff.
Through the cycle-to-work scheme, staff can save 40% on the price of their chosen bike if they are a basic-rate taxpayer and 49% if they are a higher-rate taxpayer.
Donna Miller, HR director for Europe, said Enterprise had chosen to waive the fee staff would normally be charged for the bike at the end of the lease period. "We decided we only want to rent cars - we do not want to do bikes too."
