Gangtok, Apr. 1 -- The West district of Sikkim has the highest number of sensitive and hypersensitive polling stations identified for the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
West district police authorities and district election officer have identified a total of 29 sensitive and 19 hypersensitive polling stations in the district while preparing for the upcoming elections. There are a total of 130 polling stations in this district which has eight constituencies.
However, the figures for sensitive stations have come down as compared to the 2004 polls. In the last elections, there were 47 sensitive polling booths and only two hypersensitive ...
