Lucknow, Apr. 4 -- Nepotism is evident in the distribution of Lok Sabha tickets as relatives of prominent leaders, most of them known names, are contesting from six out of 16 Uttar Pradesh constituencies going to the polls in the first phase of general elections on April 16.
At Varanasi, pitted against BJP heavyweight Dr Murli Manohar Joshi is controversial MLA Mukhtar Ansari, the brother of Afzal Ansari who is sitting MP from Ghazipur. Afzal was elected in 2004 on Samajwadi Party ticket but this time he is the ruling BSP candidate from Ghazipur Lok Sabha seat.
