Sanctions hawk Sen. Alfonse D'Amato (R-N.Y.) on Wednesday took Russian gas giant Gazprom to task for violating the Iran-Libya Sanctions Act by signing a $2 billion upstream deal with Iran along with partners Total S.A. and Petronas.
