Shimla, Apr. 25 -- The Election Commission (EC) will set up 7,251 polling stations in Himachal Pradesh to enable 46,04832 voters to exercise their franchise through 11,000 EVMs in the four parliamentary constituencies of Mandi, Kangra, Hamirpur and Shimla (reserve).
State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Anil Kumar Kachi stated here today that 697 polling stations have been bracketed as hyper-sensitive, 1,263 senstive and 5,291 ordinary.
The polling stations falling in the tribal district of Kinnuar, bordering the international border with China will have 36 hyper sensitive polling stations, followed by Paonta Sahib Assembly segment with 28 and Indora ...
