Southwest Medical Associates' cardiology department has acquired a new D-SPECT nuclear-imaging camera to help doctors improve diagnosis and treatment of heart disease for patients (see also UnitedHealthcare).
The D-SPECT camera, developed by Spectrum Dynamics, utilizes innovative nuclear imaging technology to provide sharper diagnostic images of the heart. These images are available within minutes while patients relax comfortably in a recliner. This is the first D-SPECT camera in use in Nevada.
