The Belmont® Rapid Infuser is credited with helping to save the life of a woman with massive hemorrhage resulting from a motor vehicle collision. The case was presented at the 2008 National Meeting of the American Society of Anesthesiologists by Drs. Bateman and St. Jacques of Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN as part of a symposium on medically challenging cases (see also Life Sciences).
