Some pizza chains are looking for options beyond traditional pizza to broaden the amount of consumers they appeal to, according to Food Business News. Value is an increasingly important adjective to attach to a brand name, but at the same time, consumers are looking for value as well as quality, explains Brandon Solano, VP of brand innovation for DOMINO'S PIZZA. Pizza itself is a good value, Mr. Solano emphasizes, especially for larger groups. At the same time, pizza is viewed by most as a dinner food, and pizza chains are losing out on the growing business of lunch.
