The BBC Trust, the independent governing body of the BBC, has today announced two new appointments to its senior management team.

Alex Towers has been appointed Head of Finance, Economics and Strategy and will take up his post at the end of the month. Steve Pollock has been appointed Head of Audiences and Marketing.
