It is obvious Gilbert Andres Archuleta grew up in Questa, and that his home village is what he based the community of Embargo on in his new novel "Reluctant Journey," published by AuthorHouse.
The main character Gibo Herrera, could just as easily been called Ricky Romero, Tito Arellano, Juan Kuhlman, and it would have made sense. Though Archuleta now resides in Greenfield, Calif., he knows of what and who he writes.
Archuleta spins a great yarn, telling the sometimes sad story of how life in Northern New Mexico continues changing, due to outside influences. However, it is not a story with spite, ...
