New, Delhi,. Ma -- A voter turnout of approximately 42 per cent was recorded till 1500 hrs for the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi, officials in the Delhi Election Commission said today.
The Parliamentary seat of East Delhi recorded the highest voting percentage of 42.5 per cent till 1500 hrs followed by North East Delhi with 42 per cent, Chandni Chowk with 41 per cent, South Delhi with 40.51 per cent and West Delhi with 38 per cent.
The lowest voting percentage of 37.11 per cent till 1500 hrs was recorded in North West Delhi.
The polling began on a slow note at 0700 hrs but picked up as the day progressed.
