I guess it was inevitable. There was a time when Saturday night was the liveliest night of the week ... when we were youthful. With advancing years, it is often now termed the loneliest nights of the week.
There was a time when I looked forward to Saturday nights. After a rather difficult week of work, Saturday night would be a time for relaxation, catching up with adult talk, comparing notes on children, etc.
It was even a time when one could indulge in a cocktail or two, playing cards with another couple, just a time for complete relaxation.
But old age has just about eliminated ...
