SYLACAUGA, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 3, 1997--SouthFirst Bancshares, Inc. (AMEX:SZB) today announced the completion of its acquisition of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Chilton County.
Shareholders of Chilton County and SouthFirst approved the transaction at special shareholder meetings held on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. Final regulatory approval was received on Friday.
