BELMONT, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24, 1997--Belmont Homes, Inc. (Nasdaq/NM: BHIX) today announced results for the third quarter and nine-month period ended September 30, 1997.
Net sales for the third quarter were $56.9 million compared with $57.5 million in the year-earlier period. Net income totaled $1.1 million or $.11 per share versus $3.4 million or $.35 per share in the third quarter of 1996.
For the first nine months of 1997, net sales were $179.6 million compared with $170.6 million last year. Net income for the year-to-date period, including proceeds of $1.5 million from an officer's life insurance policy, totaled $5.2 million or ...
