JAKARTA, May 13 Asia pulse - PT Astra International Tbk (JSX:ASII) will pay a dividend totaling 38 per cent of its net profit in 2008 or Rp870 (US$0.08) per share.
Its president director, Johnny Darmawan, said here on Tuesday the dividend was up 87 per cent from that of 2007 or equaled 484 shares.
"When it would be done still has yet to be determined at a shareholders` meeting on May 27. We will make it known after the shareholders give an approval," he told newsmen.
He said the percentage was taken based upon its business opportunity in automotive, agro-industry and mining sectors.
