Nov. 6--To turn itself into a successful Destination City for millions of new visitors, Philadelphians have to think big and small simultaneously.
You already know about the big stuff that's being proposed. A very incomplete list would include the family entertainment complex on Penn's Landing, new ball parks, an expanded Convention Center and entirely new Independence Mall plus the Avenue of the Arts.
All require mega-millions in a mix of public and private funding. And all will, quite appropriately, be fiercely debated before they become realities. But, just for argument's sake, let's assume all these big-ticket projects are built.
